Polar Bear Plunge
The Polar Bear Plunge held on Pensacola Beach is a beloved New Year’s Day tradition. Hosted by Paradise Inn Bar & Grill, this polar plunge in Pensacola braves nearly 1,000 dippers and spectators. Many come dressed in costume. Immediately following the plunge, warm up with some black-eyed peas and cornbread and live entertainment. All proceeds of the plunge go to the Pensacola Beach Chamber of Commerce to fund events on the island.

Navarre Pirate Plunge
The Navarre Beach Pirate Plunge offers a swashbuckling twist on the class polar plunge in Pensacola. The event invites participants to wear their best pirate attire and take a leap into the Gulf of Mexico. The event benefits the Caring and Sharing of South Santa Rosa County. Following the plunge, join the other plungers and spectators at Andy D’s Restaurante back deck for the after party featuring a live band and 50/50 raffle

Flora-Bama Polar Bear Dip
The Flora-Bama Polar Bear Dip is another favorite polar plunge in Pensacola. Hosted by the Flora Bama Lounge, Package, and Oyster Bar, plungers will submerge into the Gulf on the Florida/Alabama state line. Costumes are optional, but definitely make the experience more enjoyable for all. Those who fully submerge earn a New Year’s Day lunch of ham, black-eyes peas, greens and cornbread.
